Halfway through my first pregnancy I learned I was carrying twins and rushed to buy every title I could find on multiple pregnancy. My own experience not withstanding, I became acutely interested in the pregnant and postpartum body and was astounded at how much I didn't learn through the doctor's office. I have since become certified in prenatal and postpartum fitness and am writing more about pregnancy and childbirth.

I started working in various marketing/communication roles for physician practices immediately after college. After graduate school I spent five years as editor of the Dallas Medical Journal, the monthly publication for the Dallas County Medical Society. Having an intimate knowledge of disease, treatment, patient care and the business of medicine provides the perfect backdrop for writing and editing about health and medicine.
