Kara Douglass Thom writes about health, fitness, pregnancy and parenting topics for various publications. Her first children’s book, See Mom Run (Breakaway Books 2003), was published the same month her twin girls were born. She also penned, Becoming an Ironman: First Encounters with the Ultimate Endurance Event (Breakaway Books 2001), a collection of short stories about triathletes who competed in the 2.4-mile swim, 112-mile bike, and 26.2-mile run.
